Meet Lori, Founder of Road Trip to College
As a mom of two daughters—one already in college and one heading there soon—I’ve experienced firsthand how exciting (and overwhelming!) the college search process can be. Campus visits are such an important part of the journey, but planning them? That’s another story.
With a master’s degree in education and years spent in the classroom as a teacher, I understand how students learn, grow, and make big decisions about their futures. When it came time to plan college visits with my own daughters, I quickly realized just how much time, research, coordination, and logistics were involved. Between mapping routes, scheduling tours, finding the right hotels, and making the trip meaningful—not just busy—it became clear that families need support during this stage.
After transitioning from education into travel planning, I saw the perfect opportunity to combine both worlds. I created Road Trip to College to help families turn college visits into well-organized, thoughtfully planned, and even fun experiences.
My goal is simple: to take the stress off parents, help students feel confident and prepared, and design trips that allow families to focus on what really matters—finding the right fit and making memories along the way.
Because this isn’t just a trip. It’s the beginning of the next chapter.
